About Heart Space Bali
Heart Space Bali is a nervous-system-aware, sound-based, deeply restorative sanctuary for inner healing, supporting emotional regulation, self-love, and energetic reconnection.

Founded by Amanda Ashleigh Tylor in 2020 and now co-owned with Wieland Stolzenburg, Heart Space Bali is shaped by lived experience and a shared vision of creating a grounded and supportive place. It is also home to Flourish Gluten-Free, where nourishment is an essential part of the experience.
Amanda’s Story - The Journey
At the age of 13, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition that caused significant pain and physical limitation. Doctors told my parents that I would likely be in a wheelchair by the age of 21. Rather than accepting this outcome, I began — from a young age — to work consciously with my body and mind, discovering that the body holds an innate intelligence and a capacity to respond when given the right conditions.
Over the years, I went on to build a full and meaningful life. I became a mother to three children and worked within my family’s Australian food manufacturing business, which grew into one of the country’s leading producers of quality, homemade foods. This experience grounded me deeply in the practical world, while also shaping a lasting respect for nourishment as something that supports both body and spirit.
Having spent a lifetime exploring medical and holistic approaches side by side, I became increasingly attuned to the subtle ways the body speaks.
After feeling called to Bali, I participated in many detoxification programmes and worked closely with traditional Balinese healers. Through this process, I discovered that removing grains and gluten from my diet brought greater clarity, stability, and ease. Food became more than sustenance — it became an energetic pathway, creating an internal environment where the body could soften, regulate, and heal.
Around the same time, I discovered Yin Yoga. After years of effort and striving, Yin offered a different invitation — one of stillness, patience, and deep listening.
Through gentle, sustained postures, my nervous system was given permission to settle. It was the meeting of Yin Yoga and conscious nourishment that allowed my system to come into greater harmony, opening the door to a deeper sense of peace.
In my early 40s, I moved to Bali with my children. I have now lived here for seven years, continuing to refine a way of life centred on presence, simplicity, and inner connection.

The Vision
At my core, I have always believed that the body is designed to heal when it is met with the right environment — one of safety, nourishment, stillness, and care. Heart Space was born from this understanding.
Long before it existed physically, Heart Space lived as a quiet vision: a place where people could step out of the noise of daily life and return to themselves. A place where inner happiness, self-love, and genuine connection are not ideals, but experiences gently cultivated over time.
Coming from a background in food, it felt natural for me to create Flourish – Gluten Free, a 100% natural, gluten-free restaurant in Bali, as an extension of this vision — a welcoming doorway into the Heart Space philosophy.
Here, food is prepared with intention, honouring the understanding that food is frequency, and that what we consume shapes not only the body, but our energetic state of being.
Heart Space Bali is an invitation — to slow down, to listen inwardly, and to remember what the body already knows.
Through nourishment, Yin and restorative practices, sound healing, and a supportive environment, our beautiful team of 31 Balinese staff, my dear friend Wieland... who over time, naturally and synchronistically became my business partner, and I hold a healing sanctuary for others, offering gentle guidance back toward balance, clarity, and a deeper sense of wholeness and self-love.
Wieland’s Story - The Journey
I was born in Germany and early on felt drawn to experiencing life deeply and connecting with others, rather than simply following predefined paths. After school, I studied Business Administration and worked for several years as a marketing manager.
Later, I studied Psychology and completed extensive training in couple therapy, systemic therapy, and gestalt therapy.

I ran a private practice in Munich as a relationship psychologist, wrote books, developed online courses, and collaborated on television projects both in front of and behind the camera. I have two passions that bring me joy: business and psychology.

In 2018, I left Germany with nothing but my backpack and flew to Bangkok, without knowing exactly what would happen next. Following my intuition, I arrived in Ubud, Bali, and immediately felt at home. I continued to explore other places across Asia, yet I always returned to Ubud.
There was something truly magical about this place – its energy, culture, and the warmth of its people kept drawing me back. Over time, it became clear that Ubud was where I wanted to continue this chapter of my life.

How I Became a Co-Owner
I first met Amanda during a professional training in Ubud. From the very beginning, there was a natural connection between us – we were on the same wavelength, shared similar values, and quickly developed a close friendship.
Amanda often spoke about her dream at the time: creating a space in Bali where people could heal, connect, and find inner peace. She built Heart Space Bali by herself with incredible dedication and love, and I was truly impressed watching her from the outside – as a friend – seeing the passion, care, and heart she put into it.

Over time, the idea naturally evolved that I would join as a co-owner. It wasn’t driven by business plans or strategies but by a shared vision: creating a place where people can reconnect with themselves through holistic healing. Our backgrounds and personalities complement each other in a way that has shaped Heart Space Bali into what it is today.
At Heart Space Bali, my two passions – business and psychology – naturally come together to create a space that is both deeply supportive for personal growth and built on solid, sustainable foundations.
